How do I login into my e-mail account?

Why can I not login with my e-mail address?
In order to login to Outlook Live you need to use your Microsoft Live ID. Your Live ID is different to your e-mail address and is in the format X12345678@ittd.ie, where X12345678 is your student number. Your password is the same password you use to login to the institute network. For more detail please login here.

Where do I find ittd.ie Outlook Live POP, IMAP and SMTP settings?
If you are using an e-mail client such as Microsoft Outlook 2007 or Mozilla Thunderbird you will need to provide POP, IMAP and SMTP settings. Click here for more details.
I get the message "You have a duplicate account", who do I contact to resolve this?
If you have a duplicate account then you will need to contact IT Support in your department. Please select the appropriate IT support contact for your school. A full list of contact information, sorted by academic school is available here.
I get the message "You do not have an account", who do I contact to resolve this?
User accounts are only created for students who are correctly registered in the current academic term. The account creation process is automated and runs on a scheduled basis every 24 hours. If you do not have an account within 24 hours of registration, please contact IT Support in your department. A full list of contact information sorted by school is available here.
I get the message "Failed to find your student record in the student database", who do I contact to resolve this?
User accounts are only created for students who are correctly registered in the current academic term. Full time students will need to contact the registrar's office. Part time students will need to contact life long learning on the ground floor. Please be aware that the registration process is complex and may take some time. I get the message "Your student record is currently on Hold", what do I do?
If there is a "Hold" on your student record then there is an issue in relation to academic fees. You can find out more information on the status of your fees in the online payments section of the main web site.

In Outlook Live I get the message "The e-mail address or password is incorrect. Please try again"
If you have just registered your e-mail address you will need to wait approximately 10 minutes before you will be able to login into Outlook Live. If you need to check your login detail Login here.
How do I setup Microsoft Outlook Live e-mail on an Apple iPhone?

Your ittd.ie Outlook Live account is more than just an e-mail account. If you download and install Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 on your home computer you will be able to communicate directly with others instantly using text, voice and video. This application is also contains presence information which is used to inform other if you are available to communicate. This presence information is fully integrated with your outlook calendar so if in a meeting your status is marked as busy. You can download it here.
What is Microsoft Live Meeting 2007?
Your ittd.ie Outlook Live account is more than just an e-mail account. If you download and install Microsoft Live Meeting 2007 on your home computer you will be able to communicate with groups of people using text, voice and video. This is an excellent tool for team based project work which will allow you and your team to work collaboratively without the need to travel. You can download it here.
